The Restoration Ecology class and Mrs. McFall recently took a field trip to the International Hawk Watch base at Bonney Butte on Mt. Hood. 🦅 Students met with wildlife biologists to count migrating raptors passing through the flyway. After hiking up to Bonney Butte, they spent three hours learning about the program and the various species of raptors. They were also treated to breathtaking views of Mt. Hood, Mt. Adams, Mt. Jefferson, and even a glimpse of the Three Sisters. During their time at the site, students spotted 13 Sharp-shinned hawks, one Red-tailed hawk, and one American Kestrel. #RestorationEcology #HawkWatch #OutdoorLearning #GlenwoodSchool

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
Reliability is an essential part of being a successful student - just like it is as an employee. As we strive to prepare all Glenwood students to be successful in their ventures after school, please join us by reinforcing the message that going to school every day is just as important as showing up to work. It has been said that "80% of success in life is just showing up", but we all know that it takes hard work and persistence to be successful.
Mr. Rogers' recipe for success:
Wake up.
Show up.
Work hard.
Have fun.
Be kind.
Repeat.
Attendance matters.

This summer, our students had the opportunity to take swimming lessons at the Hood River Parks & Recreation Center—a valuable life skill. This was made possible thanks to our local levy. We are grateful to the Glenwood community for your continued support of our students! Also, a big thank you to our staff, Mrs. Wilson, Miss Kessinger, and Ms. Kielman, for taking our students to lessons.
