🐻Smokey Bear, the iconic symbol of wildfire prevention, visited our K-3 students sharing the importance of fire safety and protecting our forests. This engaging and educational event was a fun experience for everyone. The students sent Smokey on his way after they all sang "Smokey the Bear is a Wise Bear" by Meredith Wilson accompanied by Mr. Demchuk on the guitar.🐻🎵🔥🌲

Over the weekend, Joslyn Arnold secured three major titles in the rodeo arena — 2025 Northwest Region Women’s Champion in Breakaway Roping, Goat Tying, and the coveted All-Around Cowgirl title! We’re so proud to see our Glenwood Class of 2024 graduate thriving as she continues her journey at Walla Walla Community College. Best of luck to you, Joslyn, as you head to the College National Finals Rodeo this June in Casper, Wyoming — we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. Keep it up, cowgirl! 🤠

⚾️ Baseball is back in town — and this year we have our very own Coach Pitch team! Their first home game will be right here at the school on April 30th at 5:30pm, so come out and cheer on our little leaguers! Congratulations to Our New Rock Creek Powwow Queen! Over the weekend, Freshman Kerryna Thompson (Meeyuuxth Pum) was crowned the 2025–2026 Rock Creek Powwow Queen by last year’s queen, Tamisa Sherwood. Also pictured with Kerryna are fellow newly crowned royalty: Junior Princess, Little Warrior, and Tiny Tot Princess—a beautiful representation of strength, culture, and tradition! Kerryna went above and beyond in her role by selling 1,163 fundraising tickets in just two and a half weeks to support the Rock Creek Powwow & Salmon/Root Feast. Thank you to her family, friends, and community for the incredible support! While at the powwow, Kerryna also earned 3rd place in the Fancy/Jingle Teen Dance—way to go! 🏐 Jentry Hoctor Wraps Up a Great Club Season! 🏐 This season, Jentry Hoctor played on the 12U Purple team for Goldendale Volleyball Club, coached by MacKenzie Swift and Brielle Sheppeard. Jentry always brought a big smile, a strong work ethic, and was a great team player!
