The Glenwood School District would like to give a warm welcome to Superintendent/Principal Mr. Robert Rogers. Mr. Rogers has several years of experience as superintendent principal in a small school district, and we are excited about the impact he will have on Glenwood. Mr. Rogers will fill the role starting July 1, 2024. Below please read a message from Mr. Rogers.
To the Glenwood Board, Staff, and Community,
I am honored to have been selected as the new Superintendent/Principal of the Glenwood School District. Over the thirty years I have spent in public education, some have been in larger schools, but the most impactful and rewarding times have been in small schools. I have experienced first-hand the role as a student, teacher, and administrator in a small school like Glenwood. These are critical roles that schools have in preserving the identity of a small community. As superintendent/principal for the Glenwood school I will continue to support the existing community connections and work toward knowing and being known in the community.
My leadership philosophy is to respectfully lead by example with integrity. I value honesty, determination, kindness, hard work, and strength of character. Over the next several months I will be intentional about connecting with and hearing from the staff, families, and community partners. Each stakeholder’s input is valued and integral for building trust.
It was great to meet so many students, faculty and staff, and community members during the interview process, which solidified my enthusiasm to join your school. I look forward to working with all of you to continue the excellence that is the Glenwood School.
Robert Rogers
